This fic was highly recc'd by TwiCharmed (whose blog layout is ideal, and whose taste in fic is clearly top notch). Drank all 13 of the posted chapters down in a single day. Why? Because this story pulled me in from the very start and had me by the balls the entire time. If you love Vamp AU, you gotta read this fic immediately.

Official Description: Bella’s blood was just too tempting to be ignored.  In this version of Twilight, Edward takes Bella on a sadistic journey with his monstrous side.  While Edward drags her around the world, barely keeping a step ahead of his frantic family, Bella battles the monster for possession of the gentler vampire inside her captor.  EPOV.  WIP

I got sucked into this story from the very first sentence!


My Review of Chapter 2: Shop and Kill
I like that he's not Torturedward, stealing Bella for his own gratifiction but beating himself up about it the whole time. I kinda like that he has no remorse about doing what he has to do to get what he wants. It's like something about him 'broke' when he was first confronted with Bella's scent at school. And it's not that he just lost his connection to his animal-drinking, Carlisle-loving humanity. He seems to have lost the ability to care about anyone or anything else besides maintaining his access to more of Bella's blood. I'm fascinated because I have no idea what will happen next, or what this Edward will do. I'm loving Self-centeredward :)

So our Edward is not completely without remorse. Definitely self centered, but not necessarily psychotic. Good to know ;)

What a great chapter! The Cullens closing in on Edward is like backing a wild animal into a corner. And Carlisle connecting with Edward's jaw made me laugh :) He was just. that. angry.

I'm sitting here rooting for psychotic Edward. Savage, you have me questioning my own sanity.

Poor Edward was all vulnerable, unable to get to her in the sunlight and convinced she was going to leave him. I suppose that is why the monster felt the need to take over. That, and the fact that he was warm for her form.


My Review of Chapter 9: Greed and Need
Such an amazing chapter!

I loved when he was warring with his inner monster, unable to control what he was doing, yet not wanting to take her like that. That he needed her to tell him to stop. So intense to be in on his inner conflict. Great scene.

//“Maybe if you hold off killing me long enough, someday I’ll have sex with you.”// That Bella is one crafty broad. Opening the door for consensual sex w Edward (who she already recognized as the most beautiful creature on earth AKA she wants it anyway), while at the same time, strategizing for her own survival. I new she was self-sacrificing and empathetic, but maybe she is smart-as-hell, too. Maybe she has figured out that she has the upper hand in this relationship.

Love this line --> //I’ve only seen through the minds of others, never their hearts.//

My Review of Chapter 16: Placate and Punish
This story continues to pwn my ass with every chapter. This update in particular was such a satisfying read. It had everything: Suspense due to the Samson situation, comic relief with Emmett, strength of character with Bella, and sheer hotness with Edward's delayed gratification. Loved it!
